How to prepare pappulapodi (Groundnuts powder)
Pappula Podi recipe or ground nut powder)
This is basic spice powder that is made of roasted groundnuts. It is a must to prepare in most of Andhra Pradesh mainly in Rayalasema. It is usually accompanied with hot rice with ghee, pickle and curry, curd and list goes endless.
This groundnut powder can be served with plain rice and a 2 table spoons of ghee or with curd rice. A spoonful of this powder along with the south Indian breakfast greatly contributes to the protein
requirement. It is also a good stand by when you can not prepare curries for your breakfast.
VARIATIONS
If you like you can also use sesame seeds, desiccated coconut or flax seeds and Putnalu and instead of groundnuts you can add what you want like above we mentioned.
INGREDIENTS
- Salt
- Dry red chilies
- Garlic
- Groundnuts
HOW TO MAKE RECIPE
1. Dry roast first red chilies after that ground nuts until you get a nice aroma.
2. Set these aside to cool.
3. Once cool, then mix first add red chilies and salt and grind it. Then add ground nuts again grind. After getting powder then add garlic petals with peal of skin.
4. Then store in an air tight container or tight jar. It keeps fresh for about 3 to 4 months.
